Sculpture Facility Manager, UNC-Chapel Hill, Art and Art History Department,

September 1996-January 2022

  • Mentored MFA graduate student candidates on all tools, equipment and related processes including individual and small group instruction

  • Assisted instructors in training students on how to work with tools and equipment​

  • Directed facility and coached students on proper use of tools and equipment when instructors were not present

Sculpture Studio Manager, School of Visual Arts, New York City, 1987-1991

  • Managed all aspects of the facility operations

  • Coached students on best practices on use of tools

  • Provided feedback and mentored students on proper use and operation of equipment

 Assisted sculptor Issaac Witkin in Pemberton New Jersey at his farm him with his personal foundry, a sculptor whose work and practice I admired before I met him at the Johnson Atelier.
